What This Is
Educational Content Only — Not Personalized Financial Advice
Everything on Financial Planning for Young Adults — the podcast episodes, website articles, guides, and interactive tools — is intended for general educational and informational purposes only. None of it constitutes personalized financial advice, investment recommendations, or a solicitation to buy or sell any financial product.
Financial decisions are personal. What works well for one person's situation may not be right for yours. Income, debt, goals, risk tolerance, family situation, tax bracket, and more all affect what the right move is. The content here is designed to help you understand financial concepts and think clearly about your options. It is not a substitute for personalized guidance from a qualified professional who knows your full picture.
If you have specific questions about your own finances, investments, or financial plan, consider working with a licensed financial advisor, CPA, or other qualified professional who can review your complete situation.
Credentials
About Skyler's Background and Candidate for CFP® Certification Status
Skyler Fleming is a financial planner and CFP candidate. He is currently working toward the CFP® (Certified Financial Planner) certification, which requires completing a board-registered education program, passing a comprehensive exam, meeting experience requirements, and committing to ongoing ethics standards.
Skyler has not yet earned the CFP® designation. He does not hold the CFP® mark and should not be referred to as a Certified Financial Planner until that process is complete. The content he produces reflects his financial planning knowledge and professional experience, but it does not carry the authority of a licensed CFP® professional.
Skyler has been hosting money podcasts for over four years. His goal is to give you clear, honest, and accurate information, and part of that is being transparent about where his credentials currently stand.
Compensation
No Third-Party Sponsorships or Paid Recommendations
At this time, Financial Planning for Young Adults does not receive compensation from third-party companies, sponsors, or product providers in exchange for recommendations or promotional content. When Skyler mentions a specific tool, brokerage, or financial product on the podcast or website, it reflects his honest assessment — not a paid arrangement.
If that changes in the future, any sponsored content or paid relationships will be clearly disclosed. You will always know when something is a sponsorship or paid promotion.
Investments
Past Performance Does Not Guarantee Future Results
When discussing investing, historical returns, or financial strategies on this podcast or website: past performance does not guarantee future results. All investing involves risk, including the possible loss of principal. Market conditions change, and what has worked historically may not work the same way going forward.
Nothing in FP4YA content should be interpreted as a guarantee or prediction of investment returns. Any numbers discussed — such as historical stock market averages or compound growth illustrations — are for educational context only and should not be relied upon as a projection of what your specific investments will earn.
If you have any questions about these disclosures or anything on this site, you can reach Skyler directly through the contact page.
